Hands of Stone - Vfx Breakdown 2

Hands of Stone (Manos de Piedra) tells the story of the Panamanian world champion boxer: Roberto "Hands of Stone" Durán.
One of our best project so far, we were the only vfx facility producing more than 760 vfx shots on time! on budget! for this great production starring Robert De Niro, Edgar Ramírez, John Turturro, Ana de Armas, Usher and Rubén Blades.
After our work in the Academy Awarded "The Secret in their Eyes" we were hired to reproduce NOT ONLY all the cg crowded stadiums that take place in the story (which was along Duran's youth, covering from 60's to the 80's) BUT ALSO an old style look for New York City, Las Vegas and Panamá Locations (Airport, Administration Building, El Chorrillo and the Canal Zone) in that period of time. Fully CGI shots were also created and more...
All of this couldn't be possible without extraordinary vfx artists and vfx technicians that join our team. This is a selection of some highlight vfx shots from other non-fight scenes. Enjoy!.
